Ok, I stole this from EvilKat's LJ. Now, I have tons of books to the right and left of me. Mostly Marvel comic books and manga, manga, manga. But, I grabbed the story I'm currently reading during my personal time in the 'thought room' (aka bathroom time). It's called "Flirting With Forty" and was loaned to me by a friend at work. Of course, when he first handed it to me, I was sorely tempted to glare him to death and ask him what the hell he was thinking since I've a couple of years before I have to 'flirt with forty', so to speak. But, I didn't. I gave in and started reading it. It's good. So, here goes:
My God. I suck in a breath, reeling a little on the inside. He's leaving. Already. But of course it's already, it's not as if we're a match made in heaven.

Date: 2006-09-01 08:36 pm (UTC)There was a paragraph earlier in the book that made me think of your lj entry from a little while ago. It went like this:
I think I could be happy to be someone else, living somewhere else, making different choices. Living a life I've never lived before.
It really has been a good book so far, I identify with some of her thoughts.
