Kids just crack me up. Ok, got two 'scenes' to share tonight.
Scene #1
This happened a week or so ago. I told Peanut that it was time to go to bed. Now, my little 3-yo whined and screamed 'I don't WANNA go to bed'. So, I scooped him up and started to carry him bridal-style towards his bedroom. I'm half-way there when I look down at him and see he has one palm against his cheek (like he's resting his chin in his hand) and he's staring up to the ceiling.
Suddenly, he says "See, here's the problem. Mommy wants Peanut to go to bed. But Peanut's not tired." (except he used his real name instead of 'Peanut')
I almost fell out laughing so hard, nearly dropping him in the process. I told him he could complain to heaven all he wants, but he's still going to bed. *grin*
Scene #2
So my husband calls me at work laughing and tells me I'm never gonna guess what my child just did. I had left a big bag of M&Ms at my computer desk in my bedroom. So, my hubby was in the kitchen and heard noises coming from our bedroom. He wanders in and sees Peanut carefully moving the computer chair out of the way and making some room. So, daddy says "HEY! What're you doing?" Well, he must have caught the toddler by surprise.
Peanut turns wide-eyed with an "AAAH!" and then proceeds to say "I'm not eating momma's M&Ms!!!!" LOOOOL
So, I told my hubby to put the boy on the phone because he needs to learn to ask and not just take something from momma's desk. Peanut gets on the phone and I say "Did you take some of momma's M&Ms without asking?"
He then tells me, as serious as a heart attack, "No, I din't take the M&M's. I was only pretending to take the M&M's". O.O
*shakes head and laughs*
