Well, if that's the case, you rock in my book. It told me i only got 78 points, but hell, those old sci fi references were hard. Yeah, i've seen Earth Vs Spider but that's only because of my MST3K days. All those oldies were hard to figure out!

*laughs* MST3K! All good sci-fi geeks should know what that is. :^D My friends and I used to do our own MST3King of corny movies on the weekends (usually those 'Full Moon Madness' productions that went straight to video) - it was always great fun.

Those older ones were hard. The question I missed was the one with Earth vs the Flying Saucers, and It came from Outer Space or whatever as the answers. I had no idea what the answer was for that one.

You are the first person i have found on line in this community or any other that likes MST!!! Maybe it's something you have to have a secert handshake or do a certain dance to get that person to admit they even KNOW MST but you are right, all faithful scifi geeks should know MST!

And those older ones WAS where i got stomped on. i'm old but not THAT old. only reason i knew some of those other movies on there that wasn't during my preteen or teen years during the 80's and 90's was because of MST. God i miss that show!

Oh I know what you mean! I have been amazed on several occasions in a 'geek'/'sci-fi' group when I mention MSTing an episode/movie (which isn't often, but every once in a while the opportunity presents to mention it), and people are like "MSTing? What's that?" *laughs*

I was on a forum once for a now defunct show, and one of the stars of the show happened to be on the forum, too, chatting with the fans. One of his early movies (early in his career) had actually been on MST and I remembered it. He brought up some of his early works (well, actually he moaned in embarrassment of his early works) and I happened to say 'I love you man, but I gotta say my friends and I had to MST that movie", and his response was "I'm not sure what that is, but it sounds like a really BIG gun. And I don't blame you one bit for blowing holes in it as target practice." LOLOL I didn't even bother to explain it to him *grin*

do you know how many times that has happened to me. I'm still a die hard MSTie but i've gotten better. use to have it playing ALL the time on my VHS, when those were still being used. now i pop one in once an a while just to remember....(sigh) those good old days!

OMG, that is tooo funny what you said. May i ask who that person was you were talking to? he worked on MST? (dying of curisoity!!!)

I am talking to someone else on the LJ who tells me that she is watching them over the youtube so i might have to have that going in the background while i'm surfing the net. oh gosh, the old days are coming back!!!!! LOL

that must have been cool talking to him. it wasn't my favorite MSTie, my favorite is Manos and Blood Waters of Dr. Z. but still, you were talking to some one of MST fame. i seriously think that if i ever met Joel Hodgson or Mike Nelson, i would faint!

Did you know that on the official site, they have four little flash episodes with the bots. they aren't that great but hey, it's something new since 99.

*grin* Yep, Deathstalker. It was the Sheena forum - long dead - and he had come on after the series had ended to see if anyone was still using the forum. It was cool. Unfortunately, it wasn't 'real-time' conversation, but still it was neat. And he had no clue what MST3K was when I said we'd done that to one of his movies LOL.
