Star Trek = Awesome

I thoroughly enjoy reading the blogs of Sharona1x2, Tricia at JF, and several others. They are genuinely nice people, and I feel that I have similar tastes in entertainment that they do. So, when they started talking about how much they loved the new Star Trek movie, even going to see it multiple times, I had a feeling I'd love it.

My hubby is a big-time Star Trek fan from way back, and I like it too (well, I don't care for DS9 which was not all that great, except for the one Tribble episode because they went old school and incorporated original Star Trek, but I digress). Finally today, all the stars lined up - baby sitter lined up, free time could be easily made, and extra spending cash was available - so that we could go see it.

It was totally awesome! It really was a good movie, with non-stop action from the very moment it started. I don't think we'll be able to go see again on the big screen, but it'll definitely be one we'll rent to watch again when it comes out at Netflix.

And some that I'm looking forward to from the previews....Transformers and GI Joe. I is a nerd. lol

Cheers to your nerd-dom! I'm right there with you. I was a Trek fan (though I consider myself more of a warsy, I was raised by Trekkies) for a long time but fell out of it when it seemed like there was an over saturation of it. But this new movie knocked my socks off. For the first time in a long time, I am totally jazzed about ST again.

And I'm also looking forward to GI Joe and Transformers...I was a total huge fan-geek with both when I was a kid. lol
